If your interests stick to both wood crafting and music you must be ready to challenge making of musical instruments sooner or later, someday for sure.

In my case I first started with making Ukulele which seemed much easier in building than others. I have learned some expertise at the technical school, and repeated errors too for the better.

Now I have been able to make mandolin after challenging ukulele and banjo. Making mandolin was a great experience to me which gave me a lot of know-how on making string instruments.
